Working Principle of Quick Backwash Dirt Separator When the dirt separator works, the butterfly valve plate is fully open; media enter into the inner side of the filter screen through inlet flange a, then flow into the outer side of the screen after mesh filtration, and finally leave the dirt separator through outlet flange b and enter into the pipe system.
During the discharge of impurities, the butterfly valve plate is closed; open the outer valve of drain pipe; due to the pressure difference between the inside of dirt separator and the outside of drain pipe, the media will change flow direction, running from the outer side of the filter screen to the inner side. Thus, impurities and dirt will be flushed out of the separator. During the discharge of impurities, most media enter into the pipe system through outlet flange b; the system does not to stop.
